What Happens on Surgery Day With All-on-4

All-on-4 replaces a full arch of teeth using four titanium implants per jaw, with a fixed bridge attached the same day. The two front implants go in vertically and the back two are angled, which uses the denser bone you already have and avoids grafting in most cases. You go home with working teeth, not stitches and a soft tissue diet.

A surgery day usually runs four to six hours. We start with a Cone-Beam CT scan to map nerve canals, sinus position, and bone density, then build the surgical guide from that data. After IV sedation, any failing teeth are removed, the four implants are placed, and a provisional bridge is fitted on top. The final permanent set, in zirconia or another material, is placed three to six months later once the implants have fused with the bone.
